NE 24th Street Improvements, City of Bellevue
CivilTech was responsible for developing retaining wall alternatives and preparing final retaining wall designs for the NE 24th Street widening project in Bellevue. The project included four walls totaling approximately 1,100 linear feet. Wall types included cantilevered soldier pile walls with timber lagging/cast-in-place concrete fascias as well as cast-in-place reinforced concrete walls. The walls were developed to accommodate sewer line access in the corridor. Portions of the walls included terraced walls and/or decorative lattices and along private property to enhance aesthetics and to serve as safety railings. The lattices were designed to satisfy IBC guardrail design criteria.
